Drs. Parekattil, Galante Named Among Top Physicians for Second Consecutive Year
In the recently published August issue of Orlando Family Magazine, Dr. Sijo Parekattil, Medical Director, and Dr. Alex Galante, Partner, of Avant Concierge Urology were named among the publication’s list of Top Physicians for 2022. 2022 has already been an exciting year for Avant Concierge Urology. In June, Avant Concierge Urology made global history as the first doctor’s office to join the clinical trial for the ProVee System, a nitinol expander designed to gently re-shape the enlarged prostate and alleviate the symptoms caused by BPH. At that time, Dr. Parekattil successfully performed the first procedure for the clinical trial in his Central Florida-based office. ProVee is a ‘stent-like’ expander designed to gently open up the obstructed urethra without heating, piercing, cutting, or removing part of the prostate. The delivery system for the expander is thinner than most currently available BPH treatment options, and the uncomplicated procedure is intended to be performed in an outpatient or doctor’s office setting.
