Dr. Alex Galante Joins Avant Concierge Urology as Partner
It is with great pride and excitement that Avant Concierge Urology announces the addition of a new partner to the practice: Dr. Alexander ‘Alex’ Galante, effective February 1, 2022.
Raised in Indiana, Dr. Galante completed his undergraduate education at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where he obtained a 4.0 GPA and was awarded the John Schoff Millis Award for having the best academic record in the school’s College of Arts and Sciences.
He went on to pursue and earn his M.D. degree from Case Western Reserve, which boasts a nationally ranked top-25 medical school. After that, Dr. Galante became part of the renowned “UroGator” family in Gainesville, Florida, where he completed his urologic surgical residency training at the University of Florida Department of Urology, culminating in a year spent as Chief Resident.
He subsequently completed subspecialty fellowship training in office-based microsurgery and male infertility with Dr. Sijo Parekattil at Avant Concierge Urology in Winter Garden, Florida.
Sharing a mutual passion for patient-centric care, Dr. Galante recently joined Dr. Parekattil at Avant Concierge Urology as a partner. Dr. Galante believes strongly in the importance of teaching and counseling patients about their disease processes and surgical procedures. He strives to allow patients to discuss their goals in a comfortable and respectful environment. And he supports and embodies the concierge mindset that sets Avant Concierge Urology apart from other urology practices throughout the country.
“When we launched Avant Concierge Urology in 2020, Dr. Galante was a critical part of the original team, so it’s extra special that he’s joining us now at the partner level,” stated Dr. Sijo Parekattil, Avant’s Medical Director. “Dr. Galante’s patients have commended his thoroughness and bedside manner over the years, and we are thrilled he’ll be a more permanent fixture on the staff to treat Avant patients for years to come.”
Dr. Galante has led several academic research projects throughout his career, resulting in multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals as well as presentations at national and international scientific conferences. Clinically, he stays up-to-date with national evidence-based guidelines that help inform the care of his patients.

Dr. Galante is considered one of the premier vasectomists in Florida, having spent time learning techniques from some of the world’s most experienced vasectomy surgeons.
